PHILADELPHIA (BASN – Soul Tree Radio/ITR): The Philadelphia Eagles released wideout DeSean Jackson. That was not the problem; it was what the Eagles organization, ESPN, and 94.1FM WIP-radio, the Philadelphia sports station stated.

 

That number 10 DeSean Jackson had gang ties and that Mr. Jackson was hanging out with the wrong crowd. These sports entities did this without showing proof of their allegations.

 

Maybe Mr. Jackson has to repeat the legal action of St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols – who last summer filed a defamation lawsuit against former San Francisco Giant and St. Louis Cardinal Jack Clark of WGNU 920 AM radio. Mr. Clark accused Albert of “being a juicer”, using steroids or performance enhancing drugs (PED’s) without evidence.

 

Later Jack Clark would publicly retract the statement and stated that he had no knowledge of Mr. Pujols using anything. Clark stated that in the heat of the moment he misspoke and sincerely apologized – after he rightfully lost his fucking job.

 

This is the effect of shock sports radio to garner listeners; 94WIP Radio even has a new motto “DRAMA GUARANTEED”. What does that have to do with reporting sports news?
Maybe ESPN, The Philadelphia Eagles, and 94WIP Radio need a dose of this medicine to cure their accusations. The World Wide Leader in sports should know better.

 

Every football team has the right to release any player, but they do not have the right to trash and destroy the player’s good character, or accuse that player without evidence.

 

This has been the modus operandi of the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN, and 94WIP Radio to trash players of color. This is pitiful, shameful, and childish.

 

These organizations are supposed to be professional- well they are not acting like that the past few weeks no matter what DeSean Jackson might have done. Jackson helped to get the Green Birds to the playoffs with his best season as a pro.

 

Then why did he get released? Answer – because he wanted more cash up front in the 2014-15 season. Remember, NFL contracts are not guaranteed and that’s without drama.

 

This club has a history did the same to wide receiver Terrell Owens, Owens warned the other players about the management. Quarterback Donovan McNabb did not get the message until he was sent to the Washington Football Club. Randall Cunningham was sent to the Minnesota Vikings, and then they released Michael Vick. All of these men were in their free agency year all did not return to the City of Brotherly Love.

 

So it’s not looking good for the Green and White when it comes to the history of African American Stars.

 

This football team will start the 2014 season in chaos because the peacemaker Michael Vick will not be there to quell team arguments. He will be wearing New York Jet green. Vick defended Riley “I’ll fight all you Niggers” Cooper when many African American players wanted Riley off the team – but now there are chemistry issues because of DeSean’s supposed gang ties? So all the Eagles are happy with their friendly neighborhood White receiver – daring to “fight all you Niggers” – wow must be some great chemistry in that locker room!

 

Where were these moral police when former coach Andy Reid’s sons were slingin’ out in the Philly streets? Where was the NFL probe when Britt and Garrett Reid were committing crimes and thuggin’ out? You didn’t say a Muthafuckin’ thing then – and these were crimes that were muted by the same station promising “drama guaranteed.”

 

Let’s keep it 100 – the Reid boys were charged with crimes; Britt pointed a gun at a motorist in a road rage moment; reportedly yells at another passenger, comes out of his car points a gun at the other driver and smiles – before driving off. If the license plate hadn’t been caught, the little punk –ass would’ve gotten away with Felonious Crotch Grabbing in an arrogant display of Privilege before returning to his suburban Plymouth hideout.

 

The other one, Garrett, only gets caught after he runs a red light and smashes another car because he was high on heroin – with a gun and drug paraphernalia in the car and on his person.

 

This isn’t speculation – that’s fuckin’ fact; and while one Reid (Garrett) losing their life to drugs in a tragedy the effort to deflect all this, everyone in Philly knew these punks were playin’ a role as if they were in some fucked – up music video – and the “Drama Guaranteed” boys – didn’t say shit!

 

And don’t hand me that crap how it had nothing to do with team business; coaches have morals clauses in their contracts as players do – but no one reached to make “gang ties” with the Reid kids – because supposedly there was no proof.

 

Just like there was no proof with DeSean.

 

And as to the ‘gang sign’ thang, former tailback Charlie Garner played a few seasons in Philly – and every time he scored a touchdown, he would cross his arms to recognize the area he came from (The Crossroads) as a sign of affection to them – not once was he accused of ‘gang ties.’

 

Let’s remember Riley “I’ll fight all you Niggers” Cooper uses the N-Word after being denied access backstage to country music concert last fall. The Eagles fined Cooper only after a firestorm of complaints and gave him three days off- after which he was officially ‘cured.’

 

Cooper signed a new contract and became a starter in the 2013-14 season, benefiting greatly from Jackson’s impact on opposing defenses. But that’s Philly for you…

 

Here is homework for my fellow readers. Listen to the Wednesday night April 2, 2014 podcast show of “Soul Tree Radio In The Raw” on http://www.blogtalkradio.com and then listen to April 3rd’s Thursday mornings ESPN’s “First Take”.

 

It will be very difficult to find the difference between these shows when it came to the Philadelphia Eagles and the DeSean Jackson affair because both shows were saying the same thing. The Soul Tree Radio hosts did not receive the credit for the information that The Mouse, The Rodent, The RAT – used.

 

Something else very interesting happened on Friday, April 4th ESPN and their sister stations changed gears and backpedaled after Richard Sherman’s article was published.

This statement stands out in this article, “One cannot change where they lived or how they grew up,” apparently Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks get it. The Philadelphia Eagles do not.

 

Question- if DeSean Jackson were a gang member there are rules that members never wear the opposition’s color Mr. Jackson has worn both red and blue, so what does that tell you. Mr. Jackson will be wearing the colors of the Washington Football Club this year. It tells me that the Networks did not do their homework nor did they ask questions to confirm these facts.

 

“BULLSHIT – GUARANTEED!”

 

If DeSean Jackson were a gang banger and a ‘cancer’ to the organization, why would he bother to help with the Eagles’ anti- bullying campaign? Jackson has also helped inner city children in the South Jersey-South Philly school districts, but let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good story.

 

For those who can remember the Phillies first basemen, Richie Allen who got booed right out the city? Do you remember Willie Montanez? Same thing, so let Jimmy Rollins or Ryan Howard have an off the field incident – and both will be packing their bags too. The Phillies can spend $16 million on an overrated A.J. Burnett, and Jonathan Pappelsauce or whatever his fucking name is can throw away game after game, but let Howard, Rollins or Dominic Brown have sub-par seasons, and the 94 WIP wonks will facilitate idiot fans screaming  Bloody Murder about how these Niggers are making too much money!

 

So let’s keep this 100 too, Phillies –  you would’ve buried Ryan Howard in your farm system forever had Jim Thome not been injured, so the greatest first baseman in your franchise’s history was there by fortune rather than design…that’s FACT – guaranteed.

 

The Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ray Emery and right wing sniper Wayne Simmonds better watch their backs because they could be the next one shipped out of the City of Brotherly Love just because (playoffs notwithstanding).

 

This is the same city that had the real heavyweight champion of the world, Smokin’ Joe Frazier – yet they put up and worship a statue of a movie heavyweight champion in Rocky Balboa.

 

This is the same city that booed Santa Claus and threw snowballs because Santa was wearing red instead of Eagle green.

 

So it does not surprise me at all that Mr. Jackson was booted out of this city because he wanted his salary up front; something owner Jeffery Lurie and the Eagles never do. The writing was on the wall number 10 would no longer be playing at Lincoln Financial Field; and as his image was being peeled off of Lincoln Financial Field’s façade, the rhetoric from ‘Eagles made a big mistake’ to ‘DeSean is a whining baby – good riddance’ filled the airwaves, blogs, and chat rooms.

 

Drama – fucking guaranteed.

 

Not “best sports coverage guaranteed” or “most introspective coverage guaranteed” – just a shitload of nonsense and pot – stirring that doesn’t spur critical thinking, but rather spews forth tumultuous tripe that plays to the lowest common denominator.

 

WIP’s on – air ‘talent’ trashed Philadelphia Flyers owner Ed Snider for being old and behind the times in having faith in GM Paul Holmgren and hiring from within in promoting Craig “Chief” Berube after a 1-7 Flyers early season hole; now the Flyers are a playoff team – what do you say now, bitches?

 

Jock sucking and bandwagon jumping…guaranteed.

 

The radio station overtly endorsed the 76ers losing as many games as possible – ‘tanking’ – to gain a favorable position in the upcoming NBA basketball draft, yet has the nerve to trash them (players) because they’re losing…

 

Now that baseball season has started as they as they profess to love their Phillies, the station’s programming seems to favor accentuating the negative. Let’s not also forget all those wannabe journalists who profess to be capable, yet sniff around like dogs begging for a bone (job) because they will accept the atmosphere they are in rather than attempt to change or at least hold those accountable for their actions – a fucking waste of space…guaranteed.

 

And now that Chip Kelly has been given carte blanche to do as he sees fit, this wannabe genius will slit his own throat because he believes he’s the smartest guy in the room – and WIP will endorse his every move because they really don’t give a fuck about facts – how they reacted to the DeSean Jackson issue is proof of that.

 

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – and apparently Chip Kelly’s bullshit is why DeSean Jackson will put on the jersey of the Washington Football Club. The Philadelphia Eagles could be in last place in the dysfunctional National Football Conference Eastern Division with such a change. Note to all potential football ‘geniuses’ – players make schemes work – not the coaches who draw them up.

 

How many Super Bowl trophies are in South Philly? As our friend from WCLM 1450 Cowboy Reggie Howell states “I digress”. Mr. Howell also states “Follow the money” and the Eagles never part with that; they’ve won more Salary Cap Super Bowls than any other team in the NFL by far, but money doesn’t equal trophies…unless your real goal – is not to win one.

Editor’s Note: The National Football Players Association (NFLPA) has taken notice of the circumstances surrounding Jackson’s release, and will be investigating how the Eagles handled the situation to determine whether or not the team may have done Jackson harm during their process.
