So you honor the ‘fighting spirit’ of Washington’s pro football team by endorsing scalping (removing of an opponent’s scalp) as collateral damage of the battle? Interesting – wonder how many Native/First Nations brothers and sisters feel the same way?

Well, they sound correct to me – and, while I will not pretend to know what Native brothers and sisters are feeling, that’s likely what it sounds like to them!

 

Throw down whatever convoluted logic you wish; those who say or believe the Washington Football Team’s nickname is not a pejorative are full of shit – or paid to be fulla shit!

 

Any Black person whose has felt the sting of that word and condones by their actions rooting for that team and what their nickname is needs a checkup from the neck up…

 

Team Owner Daniel Snyder – is fulla shit; to continue to pretend the team’s nickname doesn’t disparage. Bet your ass you wouldn’t hear

Because when the name is changed – his franchise will be worth even more…and doubtless he knows that.

 

So let’s stop all the mind games; the team’s nickname is an insult to Native people. You know because you’ve been told so – and each time you’re told (and you dismiss it) only magnifies your arrogance, your pettiness – and your stupidity.

 

And let’s not try that “tradition” horseshit either. To some folks in this country, stringing up a Black man or water fountains/bathrooms designated for different ethnic groups was “tradition” too!

 

 

The Black Athlete Sports Network never needed a press conference to say they won’t use that word; we simply didn’t do it as practice; until we  had to point out the madness which comes with this obvious slight to Native people.

 

I’m just tired of you muthafuckas runnin’ this game…and the NFLPA should be too – knowing you might get fined for saying Washington’s team name if someone crack back blocks or clips you.

 

We’re going to cut to commercial; don’t make us have to come back and go “Double Jeopardy!” on your ass…
