CIAA Announces Men’s 2017-18 Basketball Predictions & Preseason All-CIAA Team

CHARLOTTE – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and its Men’s Basketball Coaches Association have announced the 2017-18 Men’s Basketball Predicted Order of Finish and Preseason All-CIAA Team.

The Trojans of Virginia State University have been predicted this season’s top conference contender. The Trojans finished the 2016-17 season 22-8 overall with a 13-3 conference record. The defending CIAA Champion Bowie State University Bulldogs have been selected to rank second in the conference. After advancing to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament, the Bulldogs were unable to ground the Fairmont State Falcons as they closed their season with a 93-67 loss. Last season, BSU finished 16-15 overall and 9-7 in the conference.
