CHARLOTTE – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and its Women’s Basketball Coaches Association have announced the 2017-18 Women’s Bannouncedl Predicted Order of Finish and Preseason All-CIAA Team.
The reigning CIAA Champion Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls have been predicted this season’s top conference contender. The Golden Bulls finished last season 22-8 overall with a 12-4 conference record. Not far behind the Golden Bulls are the Virginia Union University Panthers. The Panthers have been selected to finish second after being eliminated by Johnson C. Smith University in the 2017 CIAA Basketball Tournament. The Panthers were crowned the 2017 NCAA Division II Women’s Runner-Up after falling to the undefeated Ashland University Eagles in the 2017 Division II Women’s National Championship.
