SICKNESS OF LEADERSHIP IN A TIME OF CRISIS

By Gary Norris Gray, Staff Reporter

CHINESE FLAG

In a time of national crisis the President of the United States is supposed to lead his/her people out of the danger. The President is the one the American people look for guidance.

This guy at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is just not it… This man is too busy trying to figure out ways to make money for his buddies in the board rooms, the stock markets, or the executive suites while hundreds of Americans become sick or die. This is not leadership.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is showing America what leadership means and what it is about. The calm demeanor when answering questions at press conferences. Detailing his explanations last week.

The governor explains what the city of New York and the State are doing to help its citizens and why. He explains the duties of each department and he explains his state limitations and goals. You will not hear this from this President, confusion reigns the day in Washington.

trump lies-

This Corona virus is the first national crisis in the Trump administration in three years and he is not handling it well. There is an invisible danger, a threat all around us and this so called leader just can’t calm the waters; he enjoy stirring them up and creating another tidal wave, another political tsunami.

This President would rather fan the flames of racism calling Covid-19 The Chinese Virus because it came from Wuhan, mainland China… How about calling it by its name Covid19 or by the city, Wuhan? No, this is more fun to create anti-Asian sentiment in the United States. Racism is a play toy for Donald John Trump and it does not matter who suffers.

I can recall nobody batted an eye when scientist called a virus EBOLA from the Ebola River in West Africa- Republic of The Congo.

Ex-basketball star and Chinese-American Jeremy Lin states that Donald Trump empowers racism with these words ….it empowers hate toward Asian-Americans be they Korean, Japanese, Thai, Filipino, Cambodian, or Vietnamese. As a friend reminds me, “Words count,” Mr. President. Words are a powerful force. Please use them very carefully.

It seems like many sane Americans are talking to the wind because the President of the United States does not care how many Asians or Asian Americans get beat up, spit at, kicked, or yelled at just because they are Asian.

Mr. Trump should have learned from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt:-The only thing we have to fear is fear itself; John F. Kennedy:-Ask not what your country can for you but what you can do for your; country, and George W. Bush:-We hear you loud and clear and we will respond. These are historic moments in American history and define a president.

Donald John Trump still does not have a defined moment and is unwilling to look outside of himself as a human to defend the people of the United States. He is unwilling to serve ALL of the people.

This is where we are today in a national crisis with time for race baiting and capitalist greed.

We must change our ways or democracy in America will die.

God Bless the United States
