The Native American Ten Commandments
- Treat the earth an all that dwell thereon with respect
- Remain close to the Great Spirit
- Show great respect for your fellow beings
- Work together for the benefit of all humankind
- Give assistance and kindness wherever needed
- Do what you know to be right
- Look after the well being of mind and body
- Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good
- Be truthful and honest at all times
- Take Full responsibility for your actions
This current administration has broken most of our Native American commandments and will continue to break them concerning Covid-19 and the American people because there are no restraints and no consequences in Washington D.C.
This virus could wipe out entire tribes in the United States.
Is the cure, shelter in place, worse than the illness itself?
New York Governor was asked at one of his morning press conferences last week about people losing their jobs and not having enough money to survive.
The reporter asked should we not be going back to work to save the American and New York State economies. The Governor had some stark remarks that the press did not take kindly to because it would not sell papers. It was not the “bleed it leads” headlines they wanted.
These are the questions that needed to be asked and the press either could not, or would not ask the President of the United States… The Governor of New York makes it clear in the following quotes and the American press did not like it.
“Question is a failing economy equal to death? NO.”
“Economic hardship, yes, not death.”
“Emotional stress yes, not death.”
“Starvation maybe, not death.”
“Domestic violence, not good, but not death.”
Right wing politicians are now stating the cure is worse than the illness… so you’re telling Americans dying is not worst than losing their job, losing the 401k, losing the house, or car, and losing a strong economy is worse than death. REALLY?
This illness is certain death in 80% of the time because there is no vaccine, there is no defense and there will not be one for at least another 8-12 months. So people of color, disabled folk, seniors, and individuals with lower immune systems remain at risk.
For those that do not remember the polio epidemic in the late 1940 and early 1950. It disabled millions of Americans. A vaccine was found and polio eliminated.
One problem, polio has returned to the United States because certain people do not want to get vaccinated. This is the same mentality some Americans have with the current Covid-19 virus.
The sign in this news cast with Elizabeth Lane says it all “Sacrifice the weak, re-open” We must begin to question our morality when individuals start behaving in this manner. Carrying loaded AK-47 to the state capital buildings and blocking streets.
The Governor of New York was asking this nation, are material things more important the human life. Some of us know that answer; some of us who went to Bible School understand the teachings. We do not hurt, injury, or destroy fellow human beings.
This Administration in Washington does not understand, nor do they care. African Americans are expendable, Disabled and Senior citizens are expendable people of color are not needed. This is right out of the Pre-World War II German play book.
A human causing the death of somebody else is tragic, like the thoughtless person in South Korea this past weekend continues this awful trend. This person might have passed the Covid-19 virus to at least 1,000 people in five different dance bars in Seoul, Korea. It is inexcusable, just like that flight attendant 40 years ago that flew all over the world with the positive HIV-AIDS virus.
The American people cannot do this, we know better. We have the examples how to beat this invisible invader. The Asian cities of Hong Kong, Singapore, and Wuhan show the world how to combat this virus. Are we (United States) willing to follow our Asian Brothers and Sisters or are we going to be our self centered and arrogant selves and do whatever we wish?
Americans have to help each other. It’s not about me as in the certain people in the Mid-western states think, it’s about we and staying inside and self quarantine for as long as needed. It is about protecting each other by wearing mask and distancing in banks, stores, and shopping.
Death is permanent.
