THE GOP GOT WHAT IT WANTED

The National Republican Party got all it wanted the last four years, but at what cost for the American people? At what cost for people of color? It all ended on November 3rd 2020. The Party promoted a President who stated America First, A President who did not like minorities and fanned the flames of racism. The Party’s leader wanted to drain the political swamp, he believed in conspiracies, fake news, and a stolen election. The Party wanted to fill 200 federal judge positions, The Party got a President who tried to reverse the Row vs. Wade decision and add two more conservative judges to the Supreme Court. This President tried hard to use the Electoral College to gain a second term. He ignored science, had fights and fired his own administrative staff. He has done all of this in four years. Now, there is a deafening silence in Washington, D.C. by the GOP after a Democratic Joe Biden victory. All eyes are now looking to Georgia on January 5th 2021.The balance of power at stake in the halls of Congress..

The United States moved close to the edge of the cliff like lemmings ready to jump if they were instructed to do so by this famous conservative network (Fox News). Thanksgiving weekend America started showing the alarming signs of political burnt out with the constant controversies, conflicts, and just bickering brought forth by the current resident at 1600 Penna. Avenue. America had enough and wanted to move forward to the future of 2021. The question now is Joe Biden the answer for half the United States.

We continue to claim to be the greatest country in the world but are we really? We claim to be free but are we really when African Americans and Latinos fight for that very freedom every single day. By the way there are 216 other free industrialized states in the world so we are not alone.

We claim to be the greatest country in the world yet we elect a person four years ago that did not want to give equal rights to anybody but himself and his followers.

My fellow Americans we use to stand up to what seemed right, we don’t anymore. We defended the defenseless, we fought for moral reasons, we waged war on poverty not on people or other nations, and we cared about our neighbors and our friends, what happen to us? We built things that nobody thought could be built, We fought against deadly diseases and won.We battled racism and won. We went to the moon and back, We cultivated the greatest artist and greatest economy, We acted like men and woman and aspired to be intelligent we did not belittle people like the current resident in the White House.

We did not identify ourselves with our political party, right, left, or center and Americans never got scared. When Donald J. Trump became our political leader we lost all of that. We lost the respect of other nations, our friends, and ourselves.

President John F. Kennedy stated on his first day in office in 1961 “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country” President Trump and his followers never got this message and most likely never will. 

The first step in recognizing and solving a problem is to admit we got a problem. Ladies and gentlemen our children our watching this behavior and we have to fix this problem. Time is running out. Half of the country received the message in this election the other half we still have to work on, just to have a conversation. Both groups knew we were at the edge of the cliff getting ready to fall in head first. Both groups did not say a word.

Democrats continue to play checkers while Republicans play chess. What I mean is this, Democrats only think of their policies next day, next week, or next month. The Republicans think of their polices in years, decades, or centuries.

Beware America the next Donald J. Trump will be smarter, handsome, politically astute, and conning. The next Donald J. Trump will be the new and improved David Duke without the robes. The next Donald Trump will punish people that criticize his actions, beware America.

The Republican Party got what it wanted and will do it again.
