The Sports media asked a simple YES or NO question. Did you get vaccinated? Mr. Rodgers danced around the question and finally answered, “I have been immunized”. He also later stated that he was allergic to some of the ingredients of the Covid-19 vaccine. O.K. Mr. Rodgers, you should have told the Green Bay Packers organization, the Green Bay Packers players, and the players association, i.e., the union!
This was a selfish, self-centered, and thoughtless act not thinking about his fellow players, his fellow coaches and staff, not thinking about reporters or field officials by going maskless around them. Many have lost respect for Number 12. Mr. Rodgers has done this before this summer begging the question if he would retire or not. Making him the center of the story in Green Bay.
Yes, there is privacy for your medical records;- yes there is a right to express your political views but when it threatens others, what then, you must take into account other individuals around you. It seems like Mr. Rodgers did not care.
Wide receiver Cole Beasley of the Buffalo Bills took a stand and took the heat for his decision this year. Aaron Rodgers did not.
Mr. Rodgers is showing what is wrong with the United States when it comes to certain individuals. He tested positive for Covid-19 last week and did not play against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Green Bay Packers lost the game and Mr. Rodgers could not be found for comment. He then tried to talk his way out of the controversy by blaming the WOKE community for his decision. If Mr. Rogers were Black, he would not be in uniform for the rest of this year, just ask Black quarterback Cam Newton who has also not been vaccinated why he does not have a team? Ask Cam why the New England Patriots released him? Mr. Newton has not played a down in 2021.
Just asked forward Evander Kane of the San Jose Sharks who was suspended for 21 games for a fake vaccination card. Kane was also fined and will lose his salary for the 21 games missed. Mr. Rodgers did not like the rules and tried to skate around the Covid-19 mandate that the NFLPA set at spring training. Everybody read them and understood them but Mr. Rodgers thought that he was above them.
It was a simple “YES” or “NO” question but Mr. Rodgers fooled everybody with his answer. Everybody assumed that he was vaccinated by his shady answer and everything continued working until Rodgers tested positive. Number 12 did interviews without a mask, he went to team parties countermanding the NFL Covid-19 mandates. If Mr. Rodgers were Black, he would have already been fined and suspended for his actions.
If Mr. Rodgers were Black the sports media would have sunk its fangs into his neck with anti-Rodgers venom, just ask forward-guard Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets who has been upfront and honest about not taking the vaccine. The East Coast press cannot stop criticizing Irving for not helping the basketball team.
Let’s get down to the real issue and the real problem Aaron Rodgers lied and profited from that lie. Let an African American player do this and see how long he puts on an NFL uniform.
Aaron Rodgers used words to get out of his situation and as a University of California-Berkeley Golden Bear fan, I am profoundly disappointed and no longer a Rodgers fan.
Mr. Rodgers used his team status, his race, and his tenure to not follow the rules. It’s a shame because he is truly better than this. If Aaron Rodgers were Black, he would disappear from the American Football landscape.
As former tennis professional John McEnroe stated many years ago, “Just answer the question,” Number 12, answer the question.
The National Football League has since fined the Green Bay Packers 300k and Aaron Rogers 15k for their non-compliance to league Covid-19 protocol violations. He has yet to be suspended and might play the rest of the season.
Number 12 is a BAAAD man on the field but off the field that’s another question to be asked later.
