Survive & Advance: How the NBA Play-In Tournament spots got settled

The NBA Play-In Tournament includes teams with the 7th through 10th-highest winning percentages in each conference and takes place April 12-15. Here’s a look at the final matchups.

Eastern Conference

1. Miami Heat (clinched No. 1 seed)
2. Boston Celtics (clinched No. 2 seed)
3. Milwaukee Bucks (clinched No. 3 seed)
4. Philadelphia 76ers (clinched No. 4 seed)
5. Toronto Raptors (clinched No. 5 seed)
6. Chicago Bulls (cinched No. 6 seed)

7. Brooklyn Nets (locked)
8. Cleveland Cavaliers (locked)
9. Atlanta Hawks (locked)
10. Charlotte Hornets (locked)

The Nets will host the Cavs in the Seven-Eight Game. The Hawks will host the Hornets in the Nine-10 Game. 

(Reminder: The winner of the Seven-Eight Game will clinch the No. 7 seed. The loser will then play the winner of the Nine-Ten Game, and the winner of that game will clinch the No. 8 seed.)

Western Conference

1. Phoenix Suns (clinched No. 1 seed)
2. Memphis Grizzlies (clinched No. 2 seed)
3. Golden State Warriors (clinched No. 3 seed)
4. Dallas Mavericks (clinched No. 4 seed)
5. Utah Jazz (clinched No. 5 seed)
6. Denver Nuggets (clinched No. 6 seed)

7. Minnesota Timberwolves (locked)
8. LA Clippers (locked)
9. New Orleans Pelicans (locked)
10. San Antonio Spurs (locked)

This means the Timberwolves will host the Clippers in the Seven-Eight Game. The Pelicans will host the Spurs in the Nine-10 Game.

(Reminder: The winner of the Seven-Eight Game will clinch the No. 7 seed. The loser will then play the winner of the Nine-Ten Game, and the winner of that game will clinch the No. 8 seed.)
