The Goal Brothers made a point in the first round. Edmonton Oiler Evander Kane just went nuts scoring seven goals and two assist in their victory over The Los Angeles Kings. The Brother parade ended after midnight eastern time with Calgary’s defensemen Oliver Kylington made a perfect pass in game seven for another score to tie the game.
COLORADO AVALANCHE VS. SAINT LOUIS BLUES

The number one team the Colorado Avalanche will play the St. Louis Blues AGAIN its like a family reunion. The Blues will be trying not to be swept like last year’s first-round match-up. In the first round this year the Aves got on their feet and won four straight games against Nashville. They were cranking out goals against the Predators and just shut the door on defense. Nashville never had a chance. The key matchup will be Blues center Ryan O’Reilly vs center Nazem Kadri-Colorado. O’ Reilly was held pointless in last year’s matchup can the Aves do it again or has O’Reilly learn the lesion?

The St. Louis Blues might be having a Ground Hog Day moment as they will try again to beat the highest-scoring team of the 2022 hockey season. Still not sold on the St. Louis Blues offense and they did not impress many with the 4-2 Minnesota Wild series.
Forwards David Perron, Brandon Saad, and Vladimir Tarasenko have to outduel the Aves offense and they still miss Torey Krug on defense. The Blues are skating up hill against Aves defense and it will take a lot of energy to beat Colorado.
EDMONTON OILERS VS. CALGARY FLAMES: THE BATTLE FOR ALBERTA IS ON

Edmonton’s Goal Brother Evander Kane went on a scoring tear with seven goals and two assist in the first round and Oiler goaltender Mike Smith outdueled Jonathan Quick for a 2-0 seventh game victory.
The Edmonton Oilers might have a secret weapon Goalie Mike Smith in net as forward Connor McDavid finally showed up with a goal and assists in game seven in the victory over the Los Angeles Kings. Smith made a statement with his performance against Los Angeles Kings goalie Johnathan Quick.
Forward Goal Brother Evander Kane is knocking on the door of Stanley Cup history with seven goals and two assist in the first round. Kane had many scrambling to the record books to find out how close he came to fellow Oilers Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, and Pittsburgh Penguin Mario Lemieux.
Defensemen Goal Brother defensemen Darnell Nurse helped Smith fend off the Kings advance on net. Cody Ceci, and Duncan Keith peppered the nets all night long and held the fort at the same time. Nurse got suspended for game six and came into game seven focus and ready.
The Calgary Flames had to beat Dallas Star brick wall goaltender Jake Oettenger in overtime. Oettinger stopped 60 shots in game seven and that was not enough as Johnny Gaudreau scores the winning goal setting up the Battle of Alberta.

Last game Sunday night Goal Brother defensemen Oliver Kylington ended the weekend with two assists in this Calgary-Dallas series, giving the Flames a victory.
Once again if Black players are given the chance they will prove time and time again, to excel in their sports. The National Hockey League put that statement on display the last two weeks.
